Francine Legue
Francine is bilingual and has over twenty-five years of experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Francine has worked extensively with children, youth, and families to promote mental health and academic success. She has also supported victimized women and children in efforts to end the cycle of violence, and more recently, has worked within the justice system to support the rehabilitation of adult offenders.
Francine is a compassionate professional who provides a safe environment for children, youth, and adults to explore trauma-related experiences, process emotions, build emotional regulation, and develop distress tolerance. She is a published author of articles examining the effectiveness of services for women who have experienced victimization and who struggle with addictions as a survival mechanism.
In addition, Francine has facilitated wellness workshops to help employers promote team building and workplace well-being. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts with a dual concentration in Psychology and Criminology, and a Master’s in Social Work.
